The Molteni Series HBD configuration combines a Butterfly Agitator with a High Speed Disperser / Dissolver to handle very high viscosities.

The central Butterfly Agitator is driven by a high-torque hydraulic motor. Teflon scraper blades improve batch homogeneity and are critical for heat transfer.

A High Speed Disperser / Dissolver is installed off-center to the Butterfly Agitator and creates high-shear forces that enhance the system’s dispersion capability for high viscosity products.

Because the products processed in the Series HBD have limited flow characteristics, this mixing system employs a unique feature that raises and lowers both agitators during the mixing cycle. This ensures superior top-to-bottom mixing.

The Molteni Series HBD is suitable for processing high viscosity formulations through 1,000,000 cps.
