Molteni Butterfly Dissolvers are designed for the dispersion of liquid or solid ingredients, but in a higher viscosity continuous phase than the more common sawtooth-type High Speed Disperser/Dissolver.

The Molteni Butterfly Dissolvers are available in electrically or hydraulically driven variations. For more intensive shear requirements at higher viscosities, the Butterfly Dissolver may be combined with a second shaft, usually a sawtooth-type disperser/dissolver (see Molteni Series HBD).
